CHRIST LINCOLN FOUNDATION
CHRIST LINCOLN FOUNDATION
HELPING GOD'S PEOPLE PREPARE AND SHARE A CHRISTIAN LEGACY
WHO ARE WE?
Our Foundation was organized in 1986 to receive charitable gifts for the benefit of Christ Lutheran Church. A board elected by the congregation oversees the various aspects of this ministry. We seek to assist members in managing their God-given assets in a manner that honors God and provides benefits to themselves, their families and the various ministries of the church.
Over the years, gifts from various sources have been received and invested. Earnings derived from the funds in the Foundation are used to further the ministry of Christ Lincoln and Christ Lincoln Schools above and beyond what is possible through the general fund budget supported by regular offerings.
Since 1999 our funds have been managed by the LCMS Foundation, and through this partnership, Christ Lincoln members have access to a wide array of financial planning tools and services. Professional gift-planning counselors are available to assist members in navigating the many options available for asset planning and charitable giving.
"TO DO GOOD, TO BE RICH IN GOOD DEEDS AND TO BE GENEROUS AND WILLING TO SHARE… ...SO THAT THEY MAY TAKE HOLD OF THE LIFE THAT IS TRULY LIFE.”
1 TIMOTHY 6:18-19
OUR WORK
Each year, we review many diverse requests and are blessed to be able to support many that serve Christ and further His Kingdom. Here are two of the many great ministry requests: Night To Shine and Serve Lincoln Day!
NIGHT TO SHINE
Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs ages 16 and older. On one night, 655 churches from around the world came together to host Night to Shine. Our Foundation helped Christ Lincoln church honor 84 participants.
SERVE LINCOLN
We are called to be the hands and feet of Christ. Through the Foundation, we were able to help people be Christ to Lincoln! From donating blood and assembling meals for those in need to driving for Meals on Wheels and packing school supplies, we were able to help our city.
WAYS TO GIVE
LEGACY GIVING
Legacy giving helps you plan for the future and leave behind a legacy. If you would like to give through a bequest, a trust account, or an endowment, email James Moseman.
OTHER WAYS
We accepts direct gifts as well. If you would like to give a direct gift to the Christ Lincoln Foundation, please email us directly at clfoundation@christlincoln.org!
When considering how to give to Christ Lincoln, many think first and only about giving out of their regular income. Over the course of a full life lived for God, we pick up assets along the way. Some of those assets can also be used to bless the ministry here. You can learn about three of these non-traditional giving options through the videos below. They cover the topics of distributions from an Individual Retirement Account, Life Insurance policy, and appreciated property. For questions, email James Moseman.
