Meet Sara Walters

Sara started out life with her family in a town called Worms, NE. She moved to a farm near Lincoln, NE when she was four. She claims Lincoln as her stomping grounds. Fast forward 16 years, she went to college at Concordia University in Seward where she began Art Education courses. Through that time, she fell in love with Art History and transferred to UNL where she graduated with a double major in Art History and Studio Art. She met her husband at UNL through mutual friends. They got married in May of 2007. She quit the workforce to be a stay-at-home for their three boys: Benjamin, Elijah, and Josiah. They all attend Christ Lincoln Schools. She started working for Christ Lincoln Child Care in March of 2021 in the Starfish Half Day Preschool program. Then in April 2022, she added on the title of Children's Ministry Coordinator. She primarily recruit and organize volunteers while implementing programs and activities at the Christ Lincoln Sumner Campus.

HOBBY // I have a plethora of favorite hobbies which include, but are not limited to: sewing, painting, refinishing furniture, playing with my boys, gardening, cake decorating, and playing the piano

THING ABOUT CHRIST LINCOLN // I really love Christ Lincoln, because of the variety of ministry opportunities. There is no shortage of need from people in and around our church. I enjoy having the opportunity to share God's love and grace by giving freely of my time, energy, and resources. On top of this, I love being around and working with the staff who work here at Christ. Everyone who works here has the same passion and goal: To spread the Love and Gospel of Christ to everyone.
