Meet Joel Marquardt

Joel grew up in the Church - his father is a Lutheran Pastor and his mother was a Lutheran school teacher. Now he has a hand in the best of both worlds - teaching and leading others to Jesus! Joel studied at Concordia University, Nebraska, where he and his wife, Nicole, met. After completing his coursework in 2016, Joel served for a year as an AmeriCorps service member in the "City Year" educational program in Miami, Florida. He then completed his DCE Internship and answered God's Call to ministry at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Avon, IN. While serving in Indiana, Joel and Nicole were blessed with three boys: Jeremiah, Josiah, and Elijah. Joel joined the Christ Lincoln team in 2022, and thanks God each day for the opportunity to make Jesus known here in Lincoln.
