MEET MICHAEL ECKELKAMP

DIRECTOR OF MINISTRIES

Michael was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but he moved to the Seattle, Washington area during his senior year of high school. He attended Concordia College in Portland, Oregon, where he met his wife, Bernardine. After college, they returned to St. Louis to attend Concordia Seminary for his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Sacred Theology. Michael also completed his Doctorate from Westminster in 2003. After serving as a Lead pastor for 30 years, he moved to Nebraska in 2021. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of Ministries. Michael and Bernardine are grateful for their three children and enjoy spoiling their four grandchildren. In his spare time, Michael mentors pastors and community leaders. He is also an active reader, swimmer, Pickleball player, and a fan of all things Husker (a term associated with the University of Nebraska). Michael is thankful to be a part of the Lincoln Rotary Club 14 and also enjoys reading and tutoring local public-school students.
