Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans.  In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The most recently discovered coronavirus causes coronavirus disease COVID-19. (World Health Organization)

First and foremost, we respond in faith. Faith triumphs over fear. Peace overcomes panic, and unity is God’s community.

Despite the uncertainty of this outbreak and the anxiety it can create in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities, we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please join us in praying for those who are affected by this illness, as well as their caregivers and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus. God is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. We will not fear, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others.

Additionally, we have soap in every bathroom and encourage you to be washing your hands thoroughly. There are hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility, and we ask that you make use of these as needed. All our medical professionals say that this is the very best way to protect yourself and others from sickness. We are also monitoring our state's efforts to prevent the spread of this virus. If there are any changes to our schedule in an effort to help mitigate community spread of COVID-19, they will appear below.

We have cancelled all Christ Lincoln events that include more than 10 people, including in-person worship. This is in accordance with our Governor's announcement. While we love and look forward to meeting as a community, we are reminded that the church is our people, not a building. We will continue to live stream our worship services! Live streaming during this time allows us to have at least some community in a safe way in spite of this difficult situation. You can share our live streaming page with a friend, or invite a family to watch church in your home. You can also view our streaming page for our live streaming schedule. All sporting events, fellowship events, including our Senior Dinner, and any other events involving more than 10 people are cancelled. For events of less than 10 people, including Bible Studies, your leader will be in contact with you.  We will be reaching out to various group leaders to talk through virtual options.

Effective Monday, March 23, we will be closing the church office to all walk-in visitors to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff. All phones will continue to be answered during our regular office hours (8-4pm). The office will remain open for anyone who has a scheduled appointment. We will worship together online for Mother's Day, with the hope of meeting together in person soon. Please reschedule appointments or utilize voice and video call options if you or a family member is feeling sick. We want to remain in contact with you as you navigate these difficult, changing times. Please do not hesitate to reach out as you have need. If you have further questions on our cancellations, email us at
