MEET JODY BUSSE

SANCTUARY WORSHIP COORDINATOR

Jody spent her early years in rural northeast Nebraska; later moving with her family to Fremont, NE. While in Fremont, she attended Midland Lutheran College as an adult learner; earning a Bachelor’s in Human Services. When not working or engaged in learning, Jody pursued her passion for running, and her love for the sports of track and field and cross country through her many years of service as a volunteer coach for the Fremont Track Club. Moving to Lincoln in 1992, Jody began partnering with, serving and supporting children, youth and families within Lincoln and the surrounding area; considering this work to be a privilege. Jody received her Masters in Social Work from the University of NE - Omaha.

FAVORITES

BIBLE VERSE  //  Shaped by life, my foundational scripture passages are: The Beatitudes (Matthew 5: 1-12) and The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25: 31 - 46)

FOOD OR DRINK  //  I appreciate locally produced, simply prepared, clean, healthy food.

FUN FACT  //  I absolutely love the State of NE! It is my favorite vacation destination; meaning I travel State and County highways, am aware of special “hidden gems” and know a variety of unusual facts. I am always up for a good road trip!

HOBBY  //  I enjoy spending time viewing movies at the Mary Ripema Ross Theatre, and attending local outdoor music gatherings; with a particular fondness for Jazz in June.

WORSHIP MINISTRIES

The Worship Ministries Team endeavors to establish a hospitable atmosphere for our weekly campus visitors. Within this team, Worship Community Pastors collaborate closely with Ministry Directors to orchestrate worship services in our three worship communities across two campuses. Their aim is to bolster these worship communities by offering volunteer openings, organizing outreach initiatives, and fostering distinct fellowship groups.
